Jan Cummins is a Paralegal at Taylor & Patchen. Before joining the firm, Jan worked for the United States Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, first as a litigation paralegal, then as a paralegal supervisor, and finally as the senior executive administrator for six Chiefs of the Division's San Francisco Office. She has worked on scores of major civil and criminal investigations and dozens of trials, including several of the largest and most significant international cartel cases in DOJ history, in particular, cases in the chemical and liquid crystal display industries. Jan was responsible for reviewing and editing virtually all of the San Francisco Office’s written work product for more than a dozen years. She was also responsible for overseeing and ensuring the Office’s compliance with myriad administrative requirements.
After graduating from Colby College with a B.A. in Psychology, Jan attended Georgetown University's ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program. Several Attorneys General and Assistant Attorneys General have recognized Jan's dedication and contributions to the Antitrust Division's law-enforcement mission with numerous awards.
